After much press speculation and 7 years of courtship Kate Middleton and Prince William are to marry in either the Spring or Summer of 2011.
Confirmed by Clarence House this morning that whilst in Kenya last month Prince William asked Kate Middleton to marry him. The engagement ring was that of his late mother Princess Diana.
They plan to marry in London prior to Miss Middleton moving in with her husband in Wales.
The Queen and Duke are reported to be “delighted” by the news while in Poundbury the Prince of Wales was said to be “thrilled” commenting that it was about time.
